As Operations & Administrative Manager, Kim is responsible for a cornerstone of the Steel Peak practice.
Kim’s duties include servicing client accounts, addressing any client needs and hiring and overseeing support staff. She handles all lending opportunities, whether in-house (margin) or with trusted advisors (mortgages & real estate), and maintains Steel Peak’s third-party reporting/trading system. Finally, Kim, a self-described “people person,” works with Steel Peak’s employees to instill and support our firm’s cultural values.
She has a decade of experience in the financial industry, having worked at UBS and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney before joining Steel Peak. Kim holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.
In her free time, Kim enjoys boating, hiking, dirt-bike riding and camping.
James handles day-to-day operations and assists with compliance duties at the firm. A 19-year veteran of the financial industry, he worked with Smith Barney (which later became Morgan Stanley) before joining Steel Peak.
Outside of work, James enjoys playing ice hockey, tennis and golf. He has been married for over 20 years and has 2 children.
Gina helps our offices run smoothly, and is attentive to our clients’ various needs. Her responsibilities include answering phone calls and e-mails, scheduling and confirming client appointments and other duties.
A six-year veteran of the financial industry, she was with Merchant Resources prior to joining Steel Peak. Gina is a people person who loves helping others. She enjoys singing and spending time with her family.
Laurel Puana has been in the financial industry since 1995. With 20 years of experience she is able to provide excellent client support. She enjoys working with clients and their families to help them with all of their non-investment related needs. She and her husband Richard live in Reseda, California. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters, Layni & Kami.
Bill has been working in the finance industry for seven years. Prior to joining Steel Peak Wealth Management, Bill worked in client service at Argosy Wealth Management and Nuveen Investments. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona.
Bill’s duties include ensuring all business operations are in compliance with SEC regulations, and developing internal controls and policies to ensure that all compliance needs are met.
Outside of work, Bill enjoys cooking, reading, golf and basketball.
Sahar is the type of individual that always goes the extra mile, both in her professional and personal life. She was destined to work in the financial field, assimilating only the best standards at a very young age. Her comprehension and insight have aided in her ability to assist not only clients, but to larger groups of minorities by actively contributing in the DACA policy. She is an active member of FWD.us- an organization which encouraged her to step out of the shadows and share her immigrant story. Passionate, both inside and outside of work, Sahar is highly dedicated, committed and conscientious.
Outside of her profession, she has a love for all miniature things and is a foodie.
Jacky joins the team with a diverse background in Entertainment and Real Estate. Focused on working in Investment and Developmental Real Estate, Jacky naturally had a passion to expand her knowledge into the world of Finance and Financial Investments to keep current in the dynamic market. Innovation in creativity, a keen eye for detail, and problem solving are a necessity in this business and the driving force behind her work ethic.
In her spare time Jacky continues to practice Real Estate and explore creative opportunities in the Entertainment Industry, working as an on-set and celebrity Make-Up Artist. She also loves to travel the world and continues to practice her life-long love of playing classical piano.
With over 20 years of industry experience, Christine strives to provide the highest level of client service and experience while ensuring we are a leader within the industry and the community.
Providing positive support to the Executive Team and our clients is Christine’s specialty. She enjoys assisting clients with any concerns or issues that they might have. Prior to joining Steal Peak, she worked at Morgan Stanley for 16 years and 4 years at Wells Fargo Advisors.
Both creative and analytical, Christine has always had a passion for finance and jumped at the opportunity to help Steel Peak find new ways to communicate its values and investment strategy.
Christine’s understanding of the importance of the client experience comes from her over 20 years of customer service, from retail, to the constantly evolving and fast-paced world of finance. With her broad and deep appreciation of all aspects of our business, Christine became ideally suited to fill the role of Executive Client Service Associate.
She combines her knowledge of office operations with her high level of customer service to ensure all client communication is properly managed and everyone feels welcome when they walk through the door.
When not at work, you can find Christine spending time with her twin girls, traveling out of the country, practicing fly fishing and meditation.
Jackie was very excited to join the Steal Peak Wealth Management team and experience the fast paced financial industry. She comes from a diverse background including Fashion, Retail, and Entertainment where her creative skills, “can do” attitude and excellent customer service served her very well. She will continue to bring her high level of communication, organization and professional manner to process client requests and support financial advisors as a Client Services Associate.
Jackie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing with a minor in Communications from Villanova University, Pennsylvania. She enjoys spending time riding horses with her daughter and going to the beach with her son. Yoga and meditation help keep her mindful and balanced.
As Business Development Manager for Steel Peak Wealth Management, Tia is responsible for marketing and branding, recruitment, advisor support, and strategic planning to aid company expansion.
Tia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy and Development w/ an emphasis in Real Estate, along with a minor in Architecture from the University of Southern California. With experience in numerous facets, including – public relations, finance, policy and development, and architecture and planning, Tia can contribute a disparate skillset that will enable the company to find the growth and progress it is looking for.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, in her free time you will most likely find her by the shoreline.
Julia is a native San Diegan raised in the North County Coastal area. She possesses over 10 years of experience serving as an operations and service manager with a keen sense and concern for the client experience. She is ecstatic to have found a focus for her talents in joining Goldman Wealth Management.
Julia has acted as a manager overseeing multiple departments, with a knack for understanding and making sense of complex data. She brings these skills to her role as paraplanner, involved in the process of developing financial planning and analysis. A few of her favorite things are her animals, her family, the beach, and dance.
Mark is the partner-in-charge of the corporate tax group, providing financial and tax consulting to small and middle-market entrepreneurial companies. His primary areas of focus include a wide range of transactional and advisory work for public and private companies, structuring acquisitive and divisive corporate reorganizations, start-ups and liquidations. He also consults on real estate development and acquisition transactions. His clients are primarily in real estate, manufacturing, service, and independent registered investment advising. He also provides full-service business management services.
He began his career at BDO, LLP in Century City where he was a tax manager in the manufacturing and real estate specialty groups, and did tax planning and consulting for middle-market public and private companies.
Mark received us undergraduate degree in economics from UCSB and has a Master’s of Science in taxation.
