Jack grew up in San Diego, California and graduated from the University of Southern California with an undergraduate degree in Social Science Economics. He completed a Master’s in Social Entrepreneurship from USC Marshall with a certificate in Financial Analysis & Valuation. He was a Division I water polo player, competing in two National Championships and internationally with Team USA. Prior to coming to SteelPeak, he passed his Series 65 Exam as a base of knowledge to bring into the Associate role, and hopes to pursue further designations such as CFP or CFA in the future.

Why did you get into wealth management?
I desire to be an integral piece of the holistic wealth management approach offered by SteelPeak. I entered the financial industry and wealth management specifically because I believe in the value add of professional investment and wealth management and want to be a part of it. As an Associate, I hope to provide top-tier service, streamlining processes and nurturing a welcoming environment for each client that trusts us with this task. My specific interests include alternative investments, tax efficiency, and overall investment strategy.
What do you enjoy most about the work you do for SteelPeak clients?
What I enjoy most about being an Associate is the ability and responsibility to have a direct effect on the client experience, starting from day one. I believe that beginning a client relationship with respect, integrity, and the ability to truly listen is integral to the start of a great, long-standing tenure with the firm. I enjoy being able to bring my own personal values alongside SteelPeak’s philosophy to conversations with clients and set the relationship off on the right foot.
What do you love to do outside of work?
I enjoy surfing, diving, golfing, and playing basketball in my free time, as well as spending time with pets at all hours of the day.
What is your favorite book or quote?
My favorite book is The Psychology of Money. It is a quick and engaging look into the mind of the investor and discusses how people approach personal finance and why they make the decisions they make. My favorite quote from the book explains that “nobody is crazy”, this meaning that people make financial decisions based on unique life experiences, generational context, and personal values.
